Curriculum and Exam Structure

The CFA Program consists of three rigorous exams—Levels I, II, and III—each building on the last. Topics span economics, financial reporting, equity, fixed income, portfolio management, and ethics. Level I introduces foundational concepts; Level II emphasizes application and analysis; Level III focuses on portfolio integration and real-world scenarios. The curriculum is updated annually to reflect evolving financial practices.

The Learning Ecosystem (LES) is your digital study hub, built to help you succeed at every stage of the CFA Program. It offers an interactive, mobile-friendly platform with access to the full curriculum, custom study plans, flashcards, games, and over 1,000 practice questions. Two official mock exams are released before each test window. LES adapts to your progress and helps you focus on where it matters most.

Exam Dates & Fees

CFA exams are offered quarterly in hundreds of global test centers. You may sit for the exam up to twice a year, though not in back-to-back windows. Planning ahead is essential—exam dates, deadlines, and policies can vary. Starting with the February 2026 window, exam fees will change. Avoid higher registration costs by checking the latest schedules and securing your spot early to lock in current pricing and maximize preparation time.
