Strong ethics and high standards of professional conduct are essential to the integrity and success of the investment industry. As the next generation of professionals prepares to enter the field, they must do so with a commitment to these principles.

That’s why CFA Societies Canada, in collaboration with its member societies, created the annual CFA Societies Canada Ethics Challenge. This event gives university students a unique opportunity to learn, apply, and showcase the principles of the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct while competing against their peers.

How does it work?

(Local Round + National Round): Teams of 3–5 students represent their school in a local round, analyzing a real-world case with multiple ethical
dilemmas and presenting recommendations to a panel of judges. The winning team from each local competition advances to the National Round, where they will compete for the title of National Champions – Team Competition.
